Welcome to the TUM University Hospital
The TUM University Hospital is one of Europe’s leading university hospitals, combining cutting-edge medicine with innovative research and state-of-the-art technology. Since its founding in 1834 as a neighborhood hospital, the hospital has stood for medical excellence, the highest quality standards, and patient-centered care.
With approximately 30 specialized clinics, more than 20 interdisciplinary centers, and over 1,160 beds, the hospital offers the full spectrum of modern medicine - from prevention to highly complex procedures to individualized follow-up care. Every year, more than 330,000 patients from Germany and around the world place their trust in the expertise of the hospital’s approximately 7,200 employees. International patients benefit from personalized care, seamless coordination between specialties, and medical care of the highest standard - in line with the guiding principle: "Wissen schafft Heilung" (Knowledge brings healing).
International patients are individuals residing abroad who travel to Germany specifically for medical treatment. Typically, they are not members of a German statutory health insurance fund or a statutory EU health insurance scheme (S2 form). Their stay is primarily motivated by planned medical interventions or treatments.
For patients residing in Germany: Please contact the appropriate department directly.
