Antimicrobial Stewardship

Die Verbreitung von Resistenzen sowie die limitierte Neuentwicklung und Lieferengpässe von Antiinfektiva gehören zu den großen Herausforderungen der Medizin. Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO stuft die zunehmende Antibiotikaresistenz als globale Bedrohung für die öffentliche Gesundheit ein. Um den rationalen Gebrauch von Antiinfektiva zu fördern, hat das TUM Klinikum die Stabsstelle Antimicrobial Stewardship eingerichtet. Für dieses Ziel setzt das multidisziplinäre Team aus Ärztinnen und Ärzten (Mikrobiologie, Infektiologie, Hygiene) und Apothekerinnen und Apothekern verschiedene Projekte und Maßnahmen um.
